Welcome to kd’s place!
Due to always wanting to improve on all things, I have decided to re-vamp the website. As you can see it looks almost exactly the same. For all the geeks out there, the main difference is the use of WordPress and Gallery 2 rather than Textpattern.
What does everyone think? Creative criticism is welcome.

Another birthday. When you’re young you know your age to the nearest half year. You know you’re getting old when you actually have to subract years to figure out how old you are.You also know you’re getting old when you whinge about getting old. This year my bday was a split affair. On my actualy birthday, my beautiful girlfriend took me to Melbourne for dinner at Nobu. I think it is my new fav Japanese restaurant. Great food, good company. The 2nd part of my birthday occured 3 weeks later when work colleagues + co went out for dinner at Ubud. Pretty good indo food at quite a swanky restaurant.
Also, thanks to Natalie for a nice shirt as a birthday present. That is 2/2 shirts you got me that I like and fit. That is a better track record than my mum (”you’ll grow into it”).

Celebrating Australia Day - Aussie style with a BBQ and some cricket.Although not truly Aussie as there were nem nuong, Thai sausages, chow mein, meat marinaded in lemongrass and a Pandan Cake (for anyone who likes green tea cake). We were blessed with great weather but a crap beach (Stanwell Park). It was full of sand. It was like getting your whole body exfoliated unwillingly. I had sand everywhere when I got home - not a pleasant feeling at all.
But overall it was fun - thanks to Chantha and Halynh for all the food preparations.

Here are our belated photos from our trip to China and Japan.Sorry they are a bit out of order. Freakin took me so long to order them and then forgot to rename them so they got all jumbled again (they were from 4 different cameras).Enjoy and feel free to comment.

So how would you rate this spunk?

Now how would you rate this rather similar looking dude?
Well, the internet has spoken and as of the 5th of September, the first picture scored a whopping “9.0″ The second picture was rated “6.2″
So that “proves” it. All you lonely fellas should bring a girl out and there’ll be a line of single ladies waiting to chat you up.
That only leaves the problem of finding a girl to come out with you for the sole purpose of making you look good.
Thank you to the lovely guy and gal (ie my sister and her hubbie) for the photos. I think you’re both 10s.

We have finally graduated from our first salsa course and have moved on to ‘Advanced Beginners’ - note: we are no longer beginners but advanced beginners. And to celebrate our graduation our teacher kindly took us to a salsa club i.e. the Watershed on Friday nights (salsa night).
It was amazing just sitting and watching all the dancers. They were mesmerizing as they contort and move on the dance floor. No basics of 1 2 3 - 5 6 7 were seen there.
We have another great achievement to be proud of. We finished the City 2 Surf for the first time ever with record time of approximately 200mins. Hoping to beat this next year so that can be back in time for the yummy food at the EY tent.
Achievement no 3 - we won the massive ghost from Super Mario Bros at the skill tester cluster on top of Capitol Theatre. Kim reckons shes worked it out (took her $22)

One day a mate of mine was commenting about how girls seemed more interested in a bloke if he walks into a bar or a club with a girl hanging off his arm.I’m guessing it’s envy. The “I’ll have what she’s having” mentality.
Or maybe it’s curiosity. The idea that perhaps that weedy guy has something speical only his special girl gets to experience.
Or maybe my mate is wrong.
So I’ve come up with an idea to test this. Firstly, I’ll need a photo of a guy and girl. Put it up on “Hot or Not” with a photoshopped circle around the guy so no one rates the wrong person. As a control we’ll also need to crop the guy out of the picture and put him up alone to be rated again.Compare the pictures and our pseudo-scientific study can be concluded.
So, place you bets. I reckon my mate is on to something.
Also, any volunteers for the pictures?

An and I have made a commitment to this blog to keep it going for as long as possible and also to put the blame on someone if it ever goes down. We made a pact with each other to alternate postings and that we have a week and a half between each posts. Whoever is late in their post has to watch a movie that the other person has choose. (What am I getting myself into?!?!?!?). Well it seems that after this pact was made I was late on my posting commitments (a string of bad movie awaits), hence I must now watch either 12 monkeys or Die Hard (I think) and An trying to make it better by saying there’s Brad Pitt in it, he’s a mental patient throughout the whole movie. How good can it be??
Another obstacle for me at the moment is “FACEBOOK”, that thing is so addictive. I sneakily browse through it at work looking at updates while I have my left thumb and index finger on the ALT TAB keys. The photos I post on here hardly ever gets seen but I bet that when I put it on Facebook it would of at least been seen by more than one person and commented upon by more than one person. In the end it’s just a popularity contest to see who has the most friends, I’m happy as long as I’m not last (fingers crossed).
Now it’s An’s turn for a random post (I hope it’s late).

Seems like another month another wedding. So why is this one so special?Because the groom is a mate from high school.Sure, I’ve been to weddings where the married were my age. However, theres something about growing up with someone and then they get married. And that something gives you a wake up kick like no other wedding can.
Although the weather forecast predicted dreary weather, as you can see the sun came out for the photos. It only rained in the evening while we were indoors.
It was a beautiful wedding, small and close. Everyone was cool and as ease.
I use to hate weddings, but I think they’re growing on me.
Oh, and one more thing. All you slackos who didn’t make it better comment.
That is all.
